Hever Hernán Suazo owns and operates the farm Finca Las Moras in the community of San José within the Guajiquiro municipality. He produces coffee on a small scale, but thanks to his dedication and love of coffee, he has managed to progress and have a dignified life in the countryside.
Due to his continued efforts, Hever has not just improved his quality of life, but also has helped many people in his community of San José. He prefers to hire from within the community for jobs on the farm throughout the year, such as pruning, fertilization, and pest control. During the harvest period, the number of jobs on the farm increases as pickers are needed, which in turn helps support more families in the community with the costs of daily needs such as food, healthcare, and school.
Finca Las Moras grows Pacamara, a variety with large beans and an aromatic cup with sweet and complex flavors of citrus and chocolate. Hever uses the Honey process, drying in part of its pulp or mucilage. Due to this care in cultivation and processing, his coffee stands out for its quality and flavor.
